  • 1 - $1,000 scholarship is awarded to an essay winner each month.

The American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship

  • Scholarships are awarded to the three finalists. First place receives $18,000, second gets $16,000 and third takes $14,000.

  • Each individual state winner certified into and participating in the first round of the national contest receives a $1,500 scholarship.

  • Eligible recipients of the Clear, Cayhoga, Muddy Creeks Scholarship must be Missouri residents currently residing in the district previously known and designated as the Clear, Cayhoga, Muddy Creeks Watershed District. This former watershed district includes a small portion of the North Nodaway R-Vl School District.

Horatio Alger Association Career and Technical Scholarship Program

  • 10 scholarships in Missouri- maximum award is $2,500
  • To qualify, students must:
    • Have completed high school or plan to complete high school by spring 2016 with plans to enroll at a community college for the first time in fall 2016
    • Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a career or technical program at an accredited non-profit community college in the United States
    • Demonstrate critical financial need (must be eligible to receive the Federal Pell Grant as determined by completion of the FAFSA)
    • Be involved in community service activies
    • Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity

Missouri Minority Teaching Scholarship Program June 1, 2016
  • Up to $3,000 available in scholarships
  • Applicants must be a Missouri resident and must also be African American, Asian American, Hispanic American or Native American.
  • An applicant must rank in the top 25 of percent of their high school class and score in the top 25 percent of the ACT or SAT exam, or another accepted, national academic assessment exam.
  • Be enrolled full-time in an approved teacher education program at a participating community college or four-year college or university in Missouri.
